Caramelized bananas
Warm up after a day playing
in the snow with so-yummy caramelized bananas. Donna Mintz, the personal chef
and personal trainer behind basilandbarbells.com, shared this holiday-ready
recipe with GL. They’re super speedy to make, so you could whip them up for a
school-night treat, too.
Ingredients:
2 large bananas 2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
To prepare the bananas, peel and slice into 1/4" thick pieces.
Heat the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. When the
butter is melted add the honey, vanilla and cinnamon and stir to combine. Add
the bananas and stir to coat. Cook about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally so
the mixture doesn’t burn. To serve, spoon into cups.
