10 things you did when you were 5 that are too much fun to give up

Remember how awesome being little was? No responsibility. No homework. No drama…well, unless you count who was marrying whom on the playground yesterday, sigh. This week, we’ve got your passport back to childhood. Live it up, ladies!

Call dibs on the slide. Particularly the twisty, tall, curly ones at parks.

Play with your dolls. Master a waterfall braid. Sew up some stellar new duds. Try to keep their shoes on their feet. It’s not rocket science, but it’s definitely something to get lost in for an hour.

Top your jump rope record. Go skip around the block, why don’t ya?

Spill your guts to your oldest, gnarliest teddy bear. Because really, who’s he gonna tell?

Make a picture book. You know what we mean: Construction paper, markers, the works!

Hula hoop. Bonus? Awesome ab workout, too.

Conquer CandyLand. Also known as our number-one reason babysitting rocks. Also: Chutes and Ladders. And Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Build a fort. Whether you’re a cardboard kingdom cutie or more of a sheets-and-pillows princess, take your pick and put on that construction hat.

Wear whatever you want. Even if that means rocking your ballet recital costume at the mall. And school. And the grocery store. Every single day.

Nap time. What? After doing all that, you’re gonna need a rest!

What was your favorite thing to do when you were little—and which one are you bringing back this weekend?
