Nervous

When butterflies bounce back,
When in my stomach panic strikes,
When my senses start to slack,
I know I’m nervous.

When my hearts starts to pitter patter,
When my foot steps start to slow,
When I start to climb the wobbly ladder,
I know I’m nervous.

When my hands start to tremble,
When my smile becomes forced,
When I see you my heart stops,
I know I’m nervous.

When you begin walking toward me ,
When you smile with no idea,
When you gently reach for my hand,
I know I'm not nervous anymore.
