Torion exclusively debuts his latest mixtape to GL

Get ready for a new musical obsession, babes. In anticipation of his forthcoming debut studio album, we got to know Torion Sellers, Lil Wayne’s protégé, and we have a feeling this 14-year-old cutie is about to blow up the charts!

A Georgia native and son of a musician and preacher, Torion impressed his now manager singing at church. And in no time, Lil Wayne singed him to his Young Money Entertainment label. This multi-talented teen has already released three EPs (The Initiation Vol. 2, Torion MixTape Vol. 2, The Initiation Vol. 1), and his latest one, The Initiation Vol. 3, is debuting exclusively with us right here!

When we recently chatted with Torion about his new tunes, he singled out one song in particular: “Smile.” “It’s about just having a smile on your face, and always being happy,” Torion tells us. And while he’s busy stealing hearts all over the world with the song’s music vid (check it out below), he also spills it’s about everyone’s girl and, “how beautiful she is and how beautiful her smile is,” just to them. A sensitive artist—just what we need!

The hype about “Smile” is true: Its heavy beat drops behind Torion’s beautiful, harmonious voice. And his voice is spotlighted even more in another of our Initiation Vol. 3 faves, “Reality Is,” where you get to know and love the real Torion and see his desire to be a “real” popstar to his fans.

“It’s music you can really listen to and feel,” Torion explains of his overall sound, considered to be a mix between Chris Brown, Usher and classic R&B. And if you like the tunes on his EPs, you’re in luck! Torion hints a few of his personal faves will end up on his full-length debut studio album.

So get listening, babes. Torion has talent, is a total sweetheart and has a downright positive message to share. We can’t wait to see what he does next!
