Olive is an 11-year-old girl who has recently moved with her quirky parents to a vacant Victorian mansion. The place had last belonged to old Ms. McMartin, who is without a doubt dead. Within her first step in the place, Olive begins to think there is something very odd about it. There are antiques everywhere, and a pair of glasses that could soon lead her inside the house’s paintings to Elsewhere—a place potentially much more dangerous than she had ever imagined. Luckily she has new friend Morton, who faces the dangers and darkness of Elsewhere by her side.
