Three Stylish Ways to Help the World

Here at GL, we dig do-gooder fashion and the dog days of summer are the perf time to dive into the trend. Whether you need to cut back on a serious shopping habit or want to take your BFF bracelets to the next level, we’ve got some ways you can give back! Could it get any cuter?

Give up a pair of jeans
Before you head out the door for school shopping, considering donating some of your denim. Head to a bebe store and donate your old (but NOT tattered) jeans to Clothes4Souls. The best part? You can get $25 off new blues at bebe and your old jeans will go to someone in need. Don’t have jeans you’re willing to part with? You can also give your $10 to the cause and receive the same $25 off. Visit clothes4souls.org to find out where you can get involved.

Support the troops…and get a bracelet
Wanna stay connected with the men and women overseas? Head to http://bff.tv to snap up a BFF bracelet. You and a member of the U.S. military will each get the same code on your bracelets and you’ll get linked up online. Pretty sweet, not to mention patriotic.

Recycle your wardrobe
Lately, we’ve been reading up on “shopping diets,” like Six Items or Less. That’s where chicas who shop a lot (and have tons of threads) limit themselves to wearing only six items for a month (accessories and panties aren’t part of it...phew!). They rotate outfits and mix things up, but there’s zero shopping allowed. Summer might be the best time to go low-key with your wardrobe (shorts and a tank, anyone?). Plus, think about all the bennies for the earth: no more bags or tags and no gas used to get to the mall or to ship your threads or produce them. Go green, girl.
