Love these looks: 2016 American Music Awards
The American Music Awards are always a place to celebrate the best of the best in today's music. And with performances that ranged from Halsey and The Chainsmokers to Sting, that was *definitely* true at last night's awards. It should come as no surprise, too, that these amazing musicians killed it on the red carpet. From bedazzled jumpsuits to ball gowns, every person brought their own sense of style.
Check out some of our top looks from the eventful evening.
Sel pulled off a stunning, red Cinderella gown last night. Of course she made something so simple, look absolutely fab! Her words are what really made an impact last night, though.
This soon-to-be mommy looked so lovely in her high-lo ruffled dress. Black and white is always a great way to go—but her baby bump was obviously the star of the show.
Ari brought a entirely new level of fierce to the carpet last night. She made her high-waisted menswear-inspired tuxedo pants look so feminine with her vintage lace crop top. Her signature high pony topped off the look.
The co-host of the award show herself rocked the red carpet with this off the shoulder lace dress. Her combed back waves and choker really tied the outfit together—can you say #chic?
Our favorite vampire *slayed* the carpet with this gorgeous metallic short suit set. Her side Dutch braids and smokey eye really made a statement, too. Work it, Nina!
Like Nina, this fan-fave went metallic as well and looked so elegant in the mermaid + plunge combo. *This* is how you create a look that's edgy and sweet all at once.
Other than the stellar fashion statements, plenty of musicians showed off their latest accomplishments—especially previous One Direction members. Cutie Niall Horan performed his new single, “This Town,” for the first time on television and R&B crooner Zayn Malik won his first AMA for best new artist of the year. We'll *always* miss 1D, but we're super proud of these boys.
