You voted for him on American Idol, and now his new album is sure to dominate the charts. Lee DeWyze's debut Live It Up released this week and we’re totally loving it. 

It's always interesting to hear an American Idol alum's own CD. We learn a lot more about who he/she is as an artist when they're singing their own tunes instead of old hits that fit the weekly AI theme. DeWyze is no different.

Lee's deep, soulful voice sounds fantastic on this 11-track album. The melodies and lyrics range from upbeat and inspiring to relaxing and beautiful in songs like "Serendipity" and "Dear Isabelle".

The title track, "Live It Up" is sure to be a hit. Think of it as a cross between Jason Mraz's smooth sounds in "I'm Yours" and Taylor Swift's lyrics in "Jump Then Fall". It's relaxing, earthy and preaches to live your life to the fullest, not wasting a single moment because you only get one shot.

Lee shows his sweet side in tracks like "Earth Stood Still". It's catchy and fun to listen to and shows us that, when coupled with an adorable song like this one, his voice can be just as heart-melting as Justin Bieber's vocals (not that they sound anything alike, mind you!).
