Must List

Glee music maven

Okay, okay. I’ll confess. I’m a total Gleek. I love everything about the show, but the thing that keeps me coming back is the music!

Glee is a great new TV series, and it even recently won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series in a comedy or musical. Every person on the show is an extremely talented singer, and just listening to them makes me green with envy! I have just about every song that’s released right now, and it’s so hard to pick a favorite.

The two volumes of music that are out right now (Glee The Music, Vol. 1 and 2), have songs that range from the initial Pilot episode to the last one of the fall season.

With so many different types of music on these albums, there’s definitely a favorite for every Gleek out there. One of my faves would have to be “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” (originally sung by Broadway goddess Barbra Streisand). I love singing that song at the top of my lungs when I’m making myself dinner. Makes ya feel good.

Maybe it’s just because I love musicals, but I’m also totally hearting “Maybe This Time,” sung by Lea Michele and Kristin Chenoweth. They both have such great voices—I get the chills listening to it.

Then there’s the old favorite “Don’t Stop Believin’”—the first song released from the show. It gave me my first juicy taste of Glee, and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into more!

Do you like Glee? What do you think of the music? Blog about it, my fellow Gleeks.
