Ripple: A new paranormal romance

Looking for a paranormal romance that stands out in a sea of werewolves and vampires? Ripple by Mandy Hubbard is just the book you have been searching for.

There aren’t any of the typical kinds of once-creepy creatures around. Intrigued? The book tells the story of Lexi, a cursed girl with an eerie connection to the water, and takes place two years after the mysterious death of her crush. During that time, she completely disconnected herself from her former social life. But at the start of her senior year, everything changes when Lexi begins to develop feelings for her old flame’s best friend.

Her life is complicated further when another guy shows up and says he knows how to get rid of her curse (and of course it involves being more than just friends with him).

Ripple is a fab book with lots of mystery that rings surprisingly real despite its paranormal content. Want a hint to Lexi’s secret? You might have encountered a meaner version of her kind in required school reading, The Odyssey. But we know you’ll like this read even if Homer’s classic wasn’t your thing.

Mandy Hubbard is also the author of favorites Pride and Prada and You Wish. Be sure to pick up your own copy (in stores now), then come back and let us know your thoughts.

If you could have any paranormal power, what would it be? Blog about it, babes.
