We're Making One Moxie Teenz Dream Come True!

The Moxie Teenz show confidence and dedication in everything that they do. And they have BIG dreams just like you! That’s why we asked to hear what your dreams are and why they are important to you. After receiving tons of entries from girls who aren’t afraid to go after what they want, we had the hard task of choosing our fave.

Let’s give a big round of applause to Emily H., the girl with the most moxie! Check out her dream below:

I stood backstage, quickly changing into my sequined dress.  "This is it," I tell myself, "this is the big finale, your final chance to be on that stage." I was performing in a local college’s production of “Babes in Arms.”  Only in 6th grade, I was the youngest cast member there. Once my costume was securely in place, I marched on with the other cast members, belting out the end of “Johnny One Note”.  We broke out into a tap number and I started into my solo.  I sped through double cramp rolls and time-steps, flourishing the routine with jazz hands and a beaming expression.  It went by in a flash and before I knew it I was taking my final bow on the stage.  A couple of tears escaped from my eyes as I looked around at all the friends I’d made, knowing I would probably never see any of them again.  When I left the theater that night, I knew this was what I wanted to do with my life.

My biggest dream is to be a star on Broadway. I’ve been taking dance lessons for fourteen years and voice lessons for two years.  The life of a performer is hard—I’m always busy and there’s a lot demanded of you, but there’s nothing compared to the feeling you get when the spotlight hits you.  When I am on stage I feel confident, comfortable and proud of myself.  It’s my passion, and I know it’s what I was meant to do.

Emily won $500 towards making her Broadway dream come true.
