Congrats to Caroline F.! The next big choreographer…you go girl!

My dream is to become a professional dancer and choreographer. I love dancing ballet, modern, lyrical, and jazz. It's my life! Dancing is what I do when I need to get away from the world.

When I choreograph, it's fun to experiment with what looks right on the human body. When I finish a piece of choreography, I feel amazing and I want to show it to everyone. I would love to see my choreography danced around the world.

To achieve my goals, I attend five dance classes a week, and many more rehearsals. I am also choreographing a lyrical piece for my audition for one of the top performing arts high schools in the country.

When I'm not dancing or studying for school, I work as my own agent. I go on the internet and find out who's coming to my area, when and if I can audition to be in the production. Right now, I'm participating in two productions of The Nutcracker: one for my dance studio, and one for The Moscow Ballet. I don’t have a solo or a major part, but just performing is an honor.

I am so grateful that I am dancing. I recently recovered from long-term injuries in both of my knees. In January, I had a surgery on my left knee that put me out of dance for six weeks. I was much weaker, a lot less flexible, and had lost some very important skills. In early July, the same surgery was done on the other knee. I couldn’t dance for the entire summer. However, I am even more motivated than I was before my surgeries to be a brilliant dancer. My ultimate love is dance, and it will be forever.
