The perfect gift for your BFF on International Friendship Day

August 7th is International Friendship Day and here at GL, we're all about letting our BFFs know how much we appreciate them. One way to do this is with a cute compliment book. We've got all the deets on how to make one here:

What you'll need

Paper
Scissors
Hole puncher
String or yarn
Cardboard
Markers or pens

Directions

1. Gather the materials you'll need for your book.

2. Cut the paper to whatever size you want your book to be. Make sure all the pieces are even and lay them in a pile.

3. Cut two pieces of cardboard even to the paper. These will be the covers of your book.

4. Use the hole puncher to punch two (or three, depending on the size of your paper) holes on the left edge of the papers. Do the same with the carboard pieces.

5. Arrange the carboard and paper so the stack of paper is in between the two pieces of cardboard.

6. Take the string or yarn and weave it through the holes to keep the pages together. Tie the string in a knot and cut the excess.

7. Now, the fun part! Write a compliment on each page. Get creative here and use multiple colors and other craft supplies to make it beautiful.

Some examples of compliments to write in the book are:

You are so kind!

I love your sense of style.

You are so pretty, inside and out!

8. Give your book a cute title, like "A Compliment Book for my BFF." Don't forget to decorate the covers as well.

How do you show your friends how much you love them? Let us know in the comments below!
