How to rock pastel strands like your fave celebs

 
We can’t help it—we love the cotton candy-colored hair hue. This head-turning style has been around for a while now, and it doesn't seem like it's going anywhere. But while we're all absolutely crazy about the rockstar vibes, sporting the look is a huge commitment and should def be done professionally. That's why we decided to ditch the box dye and chat with StyleSeat professional Jesse Montana of Meche Salon in Beverly Hills for all the deets on how to achieve this bold look.
Montana shares that the key to being happy with your newly dyed hair is leaving the salon with exactly the color you’re looking for, explaining, “Some colorist tend to go really vibrant and rich with the color the day of, leaving you with days if not weeks of too bold of color.”

If you’re worried about your fresh shade fading too quickly, Montana suggests having your colorist mix the color with a product called olaplex, which is a revolutionary new bond multiplier—it basically keeps your color more vibrant over time. When you need to refresh, simply apply the olaplex with color on your hair for 5-7 minutes and shampoo and condition per usual—and voila! You've got yourself celeb-worthy locks.
