Beauty 911: I want to get rid of my pimples, but I dont wanna spend any money. Help!

Honestly, a li’l salicylic acid or jojoba oil can go a long way when trying to get a crystal-clear complexion. But if you wanna treat your zit the free way, it’s all about being oh-so-sweet to that skin. Here’s our best (and zero-cost) advice:

Nosh better foods
Yep, it’s time to ditch the bag of Doritos for baggies of carrots and apple slices. All the vitamins and minerals in fruits and veggies help keep your skin lookin’ good. Chugging water is thought to improve skin as well.

Keep your hands (and hair) away
If you break out on your forehead, consider clipping those bangs back. Hair products and the natural oils on your locks can wreak havoc on your cute complexion. And, obvi, touching, picking or popping zits is outta the question.

Gently exfoliate
Don’t wanna invest in a scrub? Bypass the exfoliator aisle and use a VERY gentle washcloth to buff off dead skin once a week. Don’t go overboard, OK?

Get the red out
Eye drops (like Visine, which you might have hanging around the house) can help make a pimple look less red. Dip a Q-tip in the stuff and then apply it the blemish. Let it dry. Done!
