The votes are in: The American Idol Tour is a must-see

The American Idol Live! Tour 2011 is a success. From the stunning costumes to the wonderful group performances, the top 11 finalists sure did prove themselves. We were lucky enough to catch the gang at their recent tour stop in Baltimore, Maryland.

The concert consisted of each idol performing a few numbers individually along with group performances starting from the 11th contestant and ending in the much-anticipated set from the crowned 2011 American Idol, 17-year-old, Scotty McCreery. Swoon!

**Sadly, Lauren Alaina had severe bronchitis and was unable to perform the night we went. We spoke to Lauren’s mom beforehand, and she sent her sincerest apologies to everyone. After speaking with her, we know Lauren truly appreciates her fans and never plans to disappoint them in the future**

But the show must go on, right? So here are our highlights from the concert from the opening to the finale!

The concert began with the Idol girls performing, “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga, and the energy filled the arena.

Pia Toscano managed to set the bar high for the rest of her fellow contestants. She and Stefano Langone‘s performance of “California King Bed” by Rihanna was beautiful and breathtaking.

Then cutie Stefano switched it up with the dance number, “DJ Got Us Falling In Love” by Usher. Stefano worked the stage and boy, can he dance! Spoiler alert: Stefano shows his abs. Let’s just say, we weren’t complaining!

Keep an eye out for Casey Abrams. With “Smooth” by Rob Thomas, and “Harder to Breathe” by Maroon 5, Casey’s vocals blew us away. Plus, his energy and bubbly personality on stage were contagious.

Haley Reinhart rocked it. Boy, can that girl hit the notes! Her raspy voice brought a new edge to the classics she sang. “Bennie and the Jets” by Elton John was our fave and it even got the ‘rents in the audience to sing along.

After the much-anticipated wait, the American Idol cowboy cutie, Scotty McCreery, took to the stage. Scotty began with his crazy deep vocals in “Your Man” by Josh Turner, which had every girl swooning from all sections of the arena! Scotty also performed “Are you Gonna Kiss Me or Not” and his single, “I Love You This Big.” Look out, country music, ‘cause Scotty is on his way to the top.

Overall, Scotty won as best performer of the night in our eyes. We can’t wait for his debut album, Clear As Day, to hit stores Oct. 4.

Watch Scotty perform "Gone" by Montgomery Gentry (and gracefully recover from a minor stage faux pas) below…
