Poppin' Popcorn Balls!

Popcorn is always a no-fail snack. How to punch it up a li'l bit? These fun 'n' easy popcorn balls are a sure-to-please sweet treat for the kiddies. They can be in charge of the popcorn popping and shaping up the balls, and you can cook up the syrup mix. And remember...always ask the clients permission before you start top-chefin' it up.

What You’ll Need:

1 bag microwavable popcorn
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 1/2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt

1/3 teaspoon white vinegar

What You’ll Do:


First, pop up the popcorn according to the instructions on the bag.

For White Sugar Syrup:

1. Stir ingredients in saucepan until sugar dissolves
2. Bring to boil
3. Cook covered about three minutes, until steam washes down side of pan
4. Uncover and cook over medium heat, without stirring, until thick.

For Popcorn Balls:

1. Pour white sugar syrup over popcorn.
2. Stir in gently until evenly coated.
3. When cool enough to handle, lightly butter your fingers and shape the mixture into popcorn balls.
