GRWGL (Get Ready With Girls' Life): Back-to-school edition

Bring your A+ game with amaze makeup looks that give you *all* the confidence.

Monday

The vibe: Go back to school looking refreshed and ready to tackle the year. Keep your look simple and classic, with glowy skin and a pop of red on your lips.

GRWGL: Apply a tinted moisturizer over a hydrating face cream (cover any blemishes with a creamy concealer so the skin looks natural and even, says makeup artist Nydia Figueroa), then prep your lips with a rich balm. Sweep blush over the apples of your cheeks (pick one that complements your lipstick) and gently dust highlighter over your cheekbones for a luminous effect. Finally, wipe away leftover lip balm and apply cherry red lipstick. "To perfect your lip line, dab a brush in a little bit of concealer or foundation and clean up the edges," shares Figueroa.

Try: Milk Makeup Cream Blush in Flip, $24, milkmakeup.com. L.A. Colors Strobing Powder in Iridescent Pearl, $5, lacolors.com. Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick in Inspire, $20, sephora.com.

Tuesday

The vibe: It's day two, and your sched is packed with club meetings and soccer practice. You need a look that won't sweat off: No-makeup makeup is the way to go.

GRWGL: Skip the foundation and just add a little concealer wherever you want a touch of coverage. "I like to dab it on, let it dry for a minute, then blend it with a sponge or brush," says Figueroa. "This lets the concealer set and mix with your skin's natural oils." Apply a cream blush high on your cheekbones and drape it toward the temples for a fresh, lifted look. Brush a clear gel through your brows, then add a layer of waterproof brown mascara for lashes that look defined without being overly dramatic. Slick on some lip oil to tie the whole look together.

Try: Pixi by Petra Large Lash Mascara in Best Brown, $16, ulta.com. Be a 10 Be Discreet Concealer, $22, bea10.com. Ami Colé Lip Treatment Oil in Bliss, $20, sephora.com.

Wednesday

The vibe: Officially halfway through the week! You need a little pick-me-up to get over the hump...and that's what glitter is for.

GRWGL: The eyes are the stars of the show here, so keep your skin and lips simple—a little bit of concealer, some peachy blush and a tinted lip balm are all you really need. Next, "apply a glitter shadow from the lash line up to the crease, patting it on with your ring finger [it's the weakest finger, so it applies the least amount of pressure for a diffused effect]," advises Figueroa. Curl your lashes, then apply a few coats of mascara, wiggling the wand right down to the roots before brushing up and out to create lots of length and volume.

Try: E.l.f. Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in Bling Bling, $6, elfcosmetics.com. Catrice Cheek Flirt Face Stick in Rnpeach, $6, catricecosmetics.com. L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Lift Mascara in Blackest Black, $15, lorealparisusa.com.

Thursday

The vibe: It's been a long week, tbh (and your teachers are already piling on assignments due Monday, ugh). Let your makeup match your mood with a dark (but quietly determined) lip.

GRWGL: First, make sure your lips are smooth and flake-free. "Apply a lip mask before you shower. Then, right before you hop out, use a wet washcloth to gently buff away dead skin," shares makeup artist Nick Lujan. When ready to apply, outline the cupid's bow and the center of the lower lip line, then work the color toward the outer edges, filling in any bare spots. Keep it fresh all day by dusting translucent setting powder over top. Balance out a strong lip by adding warmth to your complexion: Using a big brush, apply bronzer under your cheekbones and around your hairline.

Try: Juvia's Place The Nude Velvety Matte Lipstick in Cocoa, $15, ulta.com. Kosas The Sun Show Glowy Warmth Baked Bronzer, $35, kosas.com. Morphe Bake & Set Soft-Focus Setting Powder, $14, ulta.com.

Friday

The vibe: Friday, we're in love! You've got a new wave of energy, so you're feeling extra daring. Test drive a beauty look, like this smoky blue halo eye.

GRWGL: "Start with your eyes—doing your face last means you can clean up any fallout with a makeup wipe before applying your base," says makeup artist Ashley Gomila. Use a dense shadow brush to pat a bright blue shadow onto the inner and outer thirds of your lid. Blend the color up to the creases. "Then, create a spotlight effect in the center of the lid by applying a shimmery shadow—this technique is called a halo eye," Figueroa explains. Smudge navy liner under your lower lashes and add lots of black mascara. Keep your lips nude and add a matching shade of blush just under your cheekbones for some dimension.

Try: Maybelline TatooStudio Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Striking Navy, $10, ulta.com. Peripera Ink Velvet Liquid Lip in Classic Nude, $11, amazon.com. Half Magic Eyeshadow Single in Sky Blue, $12, halfmagicbeauty.com.

Saturday

The vibe: It's the weekend, so you're running around, hanging with friends and being super social. Make a statement (and have some fun) with colorful graphic liner.

GRWGL: Create a luminous base by prepping your skin with a face oil, says Gomila. Then, get to work on this winged eye. Map out the shape by drawing the outline with eyeshadow and an angled eyeliner brush. Add a matching eyeliner over top and fill it in, making sure to blend the edges out in a brush. "To erase any mistakes or even out the shape, just add a little bit of moisturizer to the end of a Q-tip, then use it to clean up the edges," says Gomila. Finish the look by plumping up your brows with a tinted gel to make them look extra sleek and sturdy.

Try: Wander Beauty Glow Ahead Illuminating Face Oil, $42, wanderbeauty.com. Pacifica Dream Big Brushed Up Brows, $14, pacifica.com. Florence by Milla What's My Line? Longwear Eyeliner in Wrap, $15, ulta.com.

Sunday

The vibe: Today is chill, but you still want to do a *little* extra something. You're giving sunkissed and extra dewy with lots of freckles (faux or for real).

GRWGL: Add a glow-boosting primer on top of your cheekbones and anywhere else the sun naturally hits your face for a beautiful dewy finish, shares Figueroa. Follow up with a light coverage foundation (or none at all) that allows your freckles to show through. Add a coral-toned blush and lip gloss to amp up the warm tones. "If you don't have freckles, create them using a brow pencil," says Figueroa. "The pigment is soft and blendable, so you can use your ring finger to press the color into your skin, making them look more natural." Randomly scatter the faux freckles across your face for that not-too-perfect look.

Try: Essence Superlast Eyebrow Pomade Pencil, $2, ulta.com. Joah Glow Activator Radiance Primer, $18, amazon.com. Merit Shade Slick Gelée Sheer Tinted Lip Oil, $24, sephora.com.
