This video for World Suicide Prevention Day will make you tear up
Sunday is World Suicide Prevention Day and To Write Love on Her Arms shared a new video that gives us chills. The video is part of the non-profit organization's #IWasMadeFor campaign and includes various celebrities like actress and singer Debby Ryan and U.S. Women's National Soccer Team stars Alex Morgan, Christen Press and Ashlyn Harris.
The theme for this year's campaign is "Stay. Find what you are made for." A former TWLOHA intern, Jessica Morris, wrote the book that inspired this theme. "Stay and discover these new lands. These new people. The hidden gems you didn't even know existed. Stay and find out what you were made for," she wrote.
The founder of TWLOHA, Jamie Tworkowski, said 800,000 people die by suicide each year. The organization's goal is to change this by finding help for people so they stay alive.
Suicide and mental illness are serious issues that affect many people throughout the world each year. If you or someone you know is struggling, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides support 24/7. The number is 1-800-273-8255. If you are interested in participating in this year's TWLOHA campaign, you can use #IWasMadeFor on Twitter and Instagram or donate to the fundraising campaign.
