So, who better to ask for some best friend pointers than one of the stars of the show? We chatted up 12-year-old Tiffany Espensen, who plays Piper, the younger sister of Bucket’s big crush, and had her give us the scoop on how she and her bestie maintain such a rockin’ friendship.

Tip One: Be honest. “I can really trust my best friend. We always tell each other everything. Whenever something’s wrong, we’re very open.”

Tip Two: Bake together. “Last time she was over my house, we created a Rice Krispy snowman. We rolled the balls up and then we used that gum pudding paste. We made green eyes and arms out of the Rice Krispies, too.” CLICK HERE to check out the photo Tiffany recently Tweeted.

Tip Three: Go on adventures. “We went to Catalina for Father’s Day last year. We laughed all the way and we got our favorite ice cream together, which is Jamoca Almond Fudge.”

Tip Four: Be a supportive sistah. “It’s hard to see your friends sad, but I always give her a hug and tell her we can figure out what’s bothering her together.”
