Picture this: you get home from school on a Friday afternoon feeling *super* drained from the long week. As you collapse onto the couch, all you need is a comfort show to unwind with. But you've rewatched Gilmore Girls at least 10 times. And as much as you heart Stranger Things, you could so use a drama-free, (and, errr, jump-scare free?) comfort show in your life atm. Relatable?

It's true: Having a comfort show to chill with is the key to self-care, but it can be tough to rake through the giant world of cliff-hanging and stress-inducing shows (aka Netflix). That's why we've compiled a list of the most relaxing, good-vibes-only shows that are nearly impossible to watch without cracking a smile. Bc we could all use a little extra positivity in our lives.

The Great British Baking Show

Baking cakes in the English countryside? Can't get much dreamier than that. This show radiates *all* the calming vibes you could ever ask for.

Blown Away

Watching people blow glass is exciting and, surprisingly, super satisfying. With friendly competition and tons of creativity, Blown Away won't disappoint.

School of Chocolate

If you're a chocolate fanatic, you *have* to check this show out. Eight students compete for a prize guessed it, their chocolate-making skills! And ofc, making yourself a chocolate snack to enjoy as you watch is a *must.*


Dogs = instant sertonin. And a TV show alll about them? It's impossible not to smile while you watch.

Queer Eye

Five icons with big personalities and even bigger hearts come into people's lives to help them transform. From hair and fashion to food and cooking, there's truly something for everyone in this heartwarming show.

Wild Babies

Watching animals in nature is always super relaxing. But watching baby animals? A whole new level of joy. In Wild Babies, you can expect *tons* of baby animal adventures in the wild.

The Mind Explained

Whether you're super into psychology or don't know much about the mind, there's something about The Mind Explained that makes it super soothing. Calming narrations paired with interesting facts about your very own brain makes for a perf show for winding down.

Headspace Guide to Meditation

Let's be real: With a busy girlboss sched, it can be nearly impossible to find the time to actually stop and breathe. But Headspace Guide to Meditation makes breathing and relaxing come naturally. Trust us, you *have* to try this show to cultivate your inner zen. 

Nailed It! 

If you could use a good laugh, this one's for you. Watching amateur bakers try their hand at making elaborate creations? Hilarious, entertaining *and* exciting.

Our Planet 

David Attenborough's soothing voice describing beautiful animals in great detail is the ultimate way to wind down after a long week. This show is practically the definition of tranquil.
